My name is Kara Harris
I've been crafting and making simple bracelets since I was a pre-teen. I spent hours on the internet learning how to make more and more complex items and eventually using resin. I'm an expert in quirky earrings and all things with fun fashion jewelry.
Sweet Beginnings..?
Sweet Melody started as my first attempt at running my dream business in 2016. This was a failed attempt as I had no idea how to run a business. I went to college and earned a 4 year degree in business and now understand what it takes to own a small business. Most of knowledge has come from trial and error and some down time in between jobs/careers. I named my business Sweet Melody because my name, Kara, means sweet melody. I wanted this business to be a reflection of my self and my handmade products. Your purchases, reviews, and interactions are a direct result of my work.
